After
blazing through the U.S. and Canada on the "Summer
of Blood Tour",
Lizzy Borden have announced the “Death
Takes a Holiday
Tour” 2011
Lizzy Borden will kick off the holiday tour with Megadeth
in Guadalajaraon November 19th
at the Hell and Heaven
Festival, then on to Europe
for the Christmas Metal Festival with Hammerfall, Lordi
and Saxon in Lichtenfels, Germany on Nov 25th. A much
anticipated performance at this year's
Hard Rock Hell
festival in the UK will follow on December 2nd with Ace Frehley,
Magnum and the Quireboys.

Bass Player Marten Andersson (Lizzy
Borden, George Lynch, Starwood), a long time player and endorsee
of ESP, has unveiled photo's of his new 8 string ESP
Bass. "I have played
ESP's for most of my life," explain Marten Andersson.
"Working together with ESP, we have created a prototype of my first
custom bass based on my specs. This is a true unique 8 string bass
that has been refined in my head for a couple of years. I chose top
components, and the highest standards and craftsmanship that ESP
offers. This bass stays in tune throughout a full headlining set, and
it's one of the loudest powerful basses I have ever heard."
Available as a built to order and only available factory direct
through ESP (at the moment). The bass has pickups, hardware and is
designed based on Andersson's original specs, but can be outfitted
with either EMG or Seymour Duncan pickups, Schaller orDunlop Straplocks, and Black or Chrome hardware. Featuring a
standard 8 string ESP B Series neck, 34" scale with 24 frets, The
model incorporates a metallic red sparkle finish with star inlays as
fret markers. Fretboard/inlay: rosewood/stars and Gotoh Tuners.
The new signature bass can be seen in the Lizzy Borden video ''Under
Your Skin" which premiered on MTV's Headbangers Ball last
weekend. The track comes off Lizzy Borden's CD "Appointment With
Death" out world-wide through Metal Blade Records.
Commented LIZZY BORDEN vocalist/namesake: "After
our last video, 'Tomorrow Never Comes', was
nominated for video of the year on MTV's
'Headbangers Ball', we thought we had to step up
the visuals big time on our next one.
